Continuous Paste Mode

Continuous Paste Mode is an efficient feature designed by DPaste for rapid data entry. It allows you to quickly and continuously paste multiple clipboard records, especially suitable for entering table data, batch form filling, and other scenarios. After using Option + V to enter continuous paste mode, each paste will automatically move to the next item after completion, without manual selection, greatly improving entry efficiency.

Feature Overview

Core features of Continuous Paste Mode:

  • Auto Move: Automatically select and prepare the next item after pasting
  • Window Persistence: Automatically pin the clipboard window, won't automatically close after pasting
  • Bidirectional Navigation: Support forward and backward continuous pasting
  • Auto Scroll: Automatically scroll to the currently selected item to ensure visibility

Usage

Basic Operations

Enter Continuous Paste Mode:
Continuous paste requires the clipboard to be in a pinned state. You can press Option + V from any interface to automatically open and pin the clipboard. You can also manually click the pin icon in the top-left corner of the clipboard to pin it.
When the clipboard is in a pinned state, you can start continuous pasting at the target location using Option + V or Option + Shift + V.
Continuous Paste Next Item:
  • Shortcut: Option + V
  • Function: Paste the currently selected item, then automatically move to the next item and prepare for pasting
Continuous Paste Previous Item:
  • Shortcut: Option + Shift + V
  • Function: Paste the currently selected item, then automatically move to the previous item and prepare for pasting

Window State

After entering continuous paste mode:

  • The clipboard window will automatically pin (stay open)
  • The window will not automatically close, convenient for continuous operations
  • Paste operations will not affect the window's display state

Notes

Shortcut Conflicts

If Option + V conflicts with other applications:
  1. Open DPaste settings
  2. Go to "Shortcuts" settings
  3. Modify the shortcuts for "Continuous Paste Next Item" and "Continuous Paste Previous Item"

Window Focus

  • During continuous pasting, focus will automatically return to the target application
  • Ensure the target application is active for correct pasting
  • If pasting fails, check if the target application supports paste operations

How to Exit Continuous Paste

  • Exit through ⌘ + Shift + V or click the menu bar D icon
